Treatment of Condensorfoil for RC-Slow-Flyer:
1. Cut the foil with a sharp pair of scissors
some cm larger than needed.
2. crumple the foil with both hands, in order to take away electrostatic charge - donīt
worry, it will not be damaged!
3. coat ribs, leading and trailing edges with thinned white glue or spray-glue - not too
thick - and leave to dry for some minutes,
4. stretch the foil carefully over the wing - the additional two hands of a helper are
recommended for this job,
5. iron the stretched foil to the balsa frame in points with ū iron-heat and make sure
the foil is stretched consitently good and without wrinkles,
6. now iron the foil smoothly along all ribs, leading- and trailing edges,
7. carefully cut protuding foil with sharp scissors and glue the border of the foil to the
frame by melting the foil with a hot soldering iron,
8. finally you should glide over the foil with a hot iron (full heat) without touching the
foil with the iron, in order to tighten and smooth it.
You can paint the wing with ivory-coloured artificial resin paint from a spray can. An ultra thin film is well painted by weighing only 50mg/ dm ē.
We wish you good success with ironing and much plesaure with your wings!
